Notes on The Tracks:
|
|
Speaking
to Steve Hooker about this compilation, he said "As you can imagine
there are quite a lot of tapes down in the vaults! Actually combined with
the material I've worked on with Polecats and Morrissey mainman Boz Boorer
there are a hell of a lot of tapes down there!" " It seems unlikely that we will have the recourses to press the bulk of this onto cd or vinyl, or even the space to store if we did - so we are remastering much of our combined archive for release as downloads via iTunes." " Of the ten studio recordings I made between 1977 and 1979 - eight have been compiled as "Punk Rock 'n' Roll - The Boots That Time Forgot". Notes on Photo: "The photo was taken in in Station Road Westcliff on 4th August 1979 - following a brief performance on the roof of the punk boutique Nasty's. S.H.B. drummer Chad and yours truly are reasoning with the Old Bill after the plugs were pulled!" - Steve Hooker. Southchurch 2007. |
